Sarah grew up in Ottawa, Canada. It was on a trip to Europe, a break from law school, where she met Dave. She moved out here and the rest, as they say, is history.
She has worn many hats, lived many lives...some might say 9 lives! But is now living her best life surrounded by animals! Sarah has been a volunteer at PAWS for 4 years. She also volunteers at Feral Cat Spay and Neuter and has deployed with the ASPCA. She currently works as a vet assistant and is certified in Pet CPR and 1st Aid.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, spending time outdoors hiking or mountain biking. She enjoys cooking and sharing good meals with friends.
Dave grew up in Graham, WA surrounded by dogs, sheep, and chickens. He is now a crazy cat man! Dave is a software design engineer by trade but loves nothing more than hanging out with the cats, showing them a good time.
Dave is an avid outdoors-man. He is a great skier, loves to hike, mountain bike, go fishing, and crabbing.
He plays volleyball and has played soccer with his rec team, The Spruce Trees, for 20 years! Dave also enjoys cooking and sharing good meals with friends.
Dave is also certified in Pet CPR and 1st Aid.
I am an 8-10 year old female DSH. I knew Sarah and Dave were good eggs when I adopted them 6 years ago. I was living on the streets for most of my life, no permanent home of my own, when I kept wandering into their yard one summer as they were out reading. I wandered into their house and, amazingly, they let me stay. They bought me food, toys and a bed of my own. I split my time between home and across the street at "grandma and grandpa's", who I formed a very strong bond with over the years.
I am a 16-18 year old Siamese male who came from a not-so-nice house. I was very shy but Sarah and Dave showed me lots of love and taught me how to play. I am now super cuddly and affectionate once I trust you. I love nothing more than a warm lap...well ok, other than playing with my rainbow snake!
I am a 6 year old Tuxedo male. I was in the shelter for 7 months before Sarah took me home to have a break. You see, I was very stressed in the shelter and kept getting sick so I didn't "show well". I got better as soon as she took me home where I knew I was safe and loved. And, even though I can be naughty sometimes, they let me stay! I'm working on it.
I am a 1.5 year old Tuxedo female. Sarah took my brother Lhogger and I home to foster and we ended up staying. I mean who can blame them, look at me! I'm so precious and cute! I am their little princess who they dote on because, again, look at me! I do repay them with many kisses and cuddles.
I am a 1.5 year old Tuxedo male who Sarah brought home with my sister Mahtzu to foster. Needless to say I was too cool to give up. I'm that awesome. Dave fell in love with me because I play fetch like a dog and can jump super high. I like to climb trees in the yard and sometimes my neighbor's roof. I've only had to be rescued a couple of times!
