If you are looking for another furever family member, there is no better place to look than a shelter/rescue. Unfortunately, there are so many animals in shelters in need of a furever home, the numbers only continue to increase through breeding and puppy/kitten mills. Animals is shelters are not there because they are bad pets/animals. They are there for a myriad of reasons that are not their fault (divorce, owner died, new apartment doesn't allow pets, they were abandoned, they've never known a loving home etc). You can give a wonderful shelter pet a second chance. You can pretty much find whatever you are looking for at one of the many rescues/shelters across the nation. And you save money (most shelter pets come already spay/neutered and vaccinated!) and lives!
